Stopped by ad:tech New York 2009 at the Jacob J. Javits Convention yesterday for work in what I believe still technically counts at Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood yesterday morning. It was packed with all sorts of companies, well-known ones and startups, offering products and services related to online advertising technology. While there, I was particularly amused by the ping-pong tournament which I found not far from the main entrance and, most surprising, the “booth babes” which one company brought to help garner attention. Does that sort of thing still work these days?
