With Halloween over, is there really anything left to do until Thanksgiving? Glad you asked. Here are a few suggestions:
- Chartreuse/LUPEC Tweetup: Monday night, 6 PM, Astor Center (Chartreuse tasting and Chartreuse cocktails created and served by LUPEC ladies.)
- Technology Showcase Cocktail Party, Tuesday night, 5 PM, The Altman Building (A new innovation that it “truly ‘driving’ Internect connectivity will be on display; send me a note if you want on the guest list.)
- NY Tech Meetup afterparty: Tuesday night, around 9 PM, The Black Door (Avi Flombaum of DesignerPages.com and Spencer Fry of CarbonMade.com will be DJing and buying the first 100 people drinks.)
- Bits ‘n Pieces: Wednesday night, 6 PM, Material ConneXion (Interactive exhibition to examine dialogue between the analog world and digital technologies transforming design in a post-digital era.)
- blip.tv party: Wednesday night, 7 PM, Mocca Lounge (The online television network is kicking off the first day of ad:tech New York with a party like only it can throw.)
- First Wednesday’s ad:tech edition: Wednesday night, 7 PM, Union Bar (The Wednesday Marketing Group’s monthly networking event is welcoming all online advertising professionals in town for ad:tech to stop by.)
- The Art of the Idea release party: Thursday night, 6:30 PM, TBWA (Stop by to celebrate the launch of John Hunt, the agency’s worldwide creative director’s, new book and see an art exhibition from the book’s illustrator, Sam Nhlengethwa. E-mail me for the invitation.)
- Second HARO NYC Happy Hour: Thursday night, 6:30 PM, Ted’s Montana Grill (Friends, fans, and users of Peter Shankman’s free service will be descending on the restaurant for sliders, appetizers, and networking.)
- Light Up the Night Party: Friday night, 8 PM, Alpha One Labs, Maspeth Queens (It’s the “hackerspace“‘s grand opening and fundraiser party.)
Since ad:tech is taking place this week, I’m sure there will be more to add, beginning Monday, and of course, my birthday party is this Saturday.
