It’s Armory Art Week here in NYC so this week’s list will include more art-related events than usual. Don’t worry. I’m sure the scales will tip back into tech’s favor by next week. And now, the recommendations:
[Editor’s Note: A special happy-birthday to Sarah Cooley who’ll be celebrating tonight, February 28, with friends at Ten Degrees from 7 PM...

#tumblrreads
(via meaghano & 6h057)
[Editor’s Note: Not surprisingly, tumblr READS seems to be one of the most reblogged or blogged about events on Tumblr. Funny how this account includes a “pedestrian” asking what was going on; I saw no such thing and I was there from about 6:45 PM on. Most people just ignored the line outside of the bookstore. I assumed all the photographers were...

[Editor’s Note: Soon-to-be former Gawker editor Foster Kamer shared his thoughts about the tumblr READS event, at which he read Friday, and rather than summarize his post, I thought I’d share it in its entirety. Wish I’d had a chance to hear it, but I’ll talk more about why I left later.]
Well, lots of people have done their Tumblr Reads recaps, and here’s...

Neither location was large enough to hold the crowd that descended on both pizza and...

Publicists Heart 'PRNewser' Even Before...
PRNewser’s Joe Ciarallo and Jason Chupick hosted their annual “I Heart PRNewser” party at The Hill in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood last night. In spite of the impending “snowstorm” (which, I might add, turned out to be rather mild), the event was well attended. For the first hour, there was even an open bar. The food was a bit of a letdown though. ...
